THE RAINBOW SUITE PREMIERE ON MAY 16 The Rainbow Suite, my new choral work commissioned by The Haga Parish of the Church of Sweden, Göteborg, will receive its premiere performance by the Haga Motettkör during the annual HBT Festival in Göteborg on May 16. The HBT Festival is Sweden's first cultural festival created by and for LGBT people. The six movement a cappella work, which is 30 minutes in duration, is based on the meaning of the six colours in the rainbow flag. Lyrics are from poems by various independent poets from USA, Netherlands and Australia. In addition to the choral performance, the premiere will feature choreography and dance performances by Luisa Denward, lighting by Beate Persdotter Løken and direction by Per Buhre, who is also doing the riveting countertenor solo in the second all male chorus part of the suite! The wonderful poster is done by Anders Nyberg! The concert takes place in Hagakyrkan, Göteborg, on May 16 at 8pm.

'AVE MARIA' PREMIERED
My setting of Ave Maria, written for unaccompanied SSAATTBB, was premiered by Guldhedskyrkans Kammarkör in two concerts in April. The choir will include one of my other pieces, Det är vackrast när det skymmer, in its competition programme during the Mundus Cantat choir festival in Sopot, Poland, on May 20-24.

PREMIERE OF 'O MAGNUM MYSTERIUM'
Haga Motettkör premiered my new a cappella piece O Magnum Mysterium in concert in Hagakyrkan, Göteborg, on Sunday, November 30. It was also performed in a Christmas Concert featuring Haga Motettkör and Espiro on December 16. A recording of the performance is available here!
