NIGEL CLARKE &
MICHAEL CSÁNYI-WILLS
Biography

Nigel and Michael have worked with orchestras of the highest quality both nationally and internationally. Since joining forces, these classically trained composers from the Royal Academy of Music have written several film scores for several multi million dollar feature films. It is their policy to produce demonstration recordings ‘to picture’ for the whole film for client approval prior to orchestration. They are recognized for writing memorable themes supported by lush, colourful harmonies and orchestrations, which lend themselves particularly well to large-scale feature film productions. They were nominated as ‘Newcomers of the Year 2001’ for their score to ‘The Little Vampire’ and also in 2003 for ‘The Little Polar Bear’ at the Movie Music U.K. Music Awards. Three of their film scores have been commercially released on CD. Nigel and Michael’s most recent scores include the children’s fantasy film “The Thief Lord” for Cometstone Pictures, released in May 2006 and also ‘The Rocket Post’ due for release Autumn 2006. They have also been busy composing scores for a number of short film projects in addition to their own commissions. One of their latest short films  ‘Withdrawal’, for which Nigel and Michael composed the score, has been selected for the LA short film festival.
